Summary

Primary responsibility includes maintenance and enhancements to existing systems as well as new development. This will include systems integration and design. Able to adapt to fast paced technical environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain current proprietary applications 
  • Maintain required Reporting modules 
  • Assist with SQL data maintenance 
  • Administer and execute advanced query and report creation requests 
  • Review system error logs and provide resolution 
  • Maintain documentation of current and future automated tasks 
  • Seamless integration of new applications into a high-volume 24x7 production environment. 
  • Administer essential programming and development functions required for the CareMedic proprietary applications 
  • Setup and document procedures for existing and new system based automated functions by client. 
  • Support CareMedic proprietary application in regards to security, enhancements, and overall system maintenance. 
  • Coordinate daily import and export of client data, and administer all data conversion processes 
  • Meet expected deadlines of assigned. 
  • Provide project tracking and other reporting standards to management. 
  • Issue timed status of unavoidable down time to management. 
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications: 

  • Working experience with COBOL in a Windows Server environment 
  • Realia, Flexus, Microfocus, Visual Basic and .NET experience a plus 
  • High level research and analytical skills 
  • Excellent communication skills – you must be able to implement a solution and describe it to a non-technical person 
  • Experience developing core infrastructure code (e.g., a common database access library) used by other developers is a plus 
  • Ability to work on a small development team with several active projects 
  • Must have excellent communication and documentation skills; along with excellent problem solving skills 
  • Must be self-motivated and able to assume project/task ownership 
  • Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent work experience. 
  • 6+ years experience in all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC). 
  • Thorough HIPAA knowledge and healthcare industry experience a plus.
